Energy portfolio

Today, KC Energy operates more than 50 energy farms across Estonia – from Hiiumaa to Jõgeva and Lääne-Viru counties. In addition to establishing and managing solar energy farms, we are actively engaged in the development of energy storage options and wind energy production. Together, these will lay the ground for Estonian energy economy in the future and thus contribute to meeting Estonian renewable energy targets.

PIHLAKA SOLAR FARM

KC Solar 2 OÜ, a subsidiary of KC Energy, a joint venture between Kaamos and Combiwood, will be establishing the Pihlaka solar farm in Harjumaa near the town of Kehra. The total capacity of the Pihlaka solar farm will be 52.5 MW and the EBRD (European Bank for Reconstruction and Development) will support its development with 22 million euros. Currently, it is the largest solar farm in KC Energy’s portfolio. The construction of the solar farm will begin in the summer of 2024 and the expected completion date for part I (7.5 MW) will be the end of 2024 and for part II (45 MW) in 2025. The construction of the project will be carried out by Kaamos Ehitus. Read more about the project here: https://www.ebrd.com/work-with-us/projects/psd/54611.html.
